I made this quilt as a surprise Christmas present for DH Andrew (he established and ran a computer software company named Blue Tongue Software).  It was made in less than two weeks with me sewing like crazy while he was at work.  I had to tidy up all of my sewing bits before he got home each night and hide all of the evidence so he would not be suspicious.  Needless to say, he was very surprised when he opened the package that he thought was a present for my father!

The photo above shows the quilt proudly hanging in its home where clients could see it in Blue Tongue’s Melbourne office (that’s DH at his desk…)

Here is the obligatory cat approval photo – everything must pass the quilt inspection!

Here is Andrew on Christmas Day being very happy with his new quilt, bts5and you can see part of the back – this panel serves as the label and also lists the computer games that the company has released so far (with room for more!).

Postscript, 2015 – The company was sold in 2005, then eventually closed its doors almost 5 years later.

Here’s one of me, back  in 2000:
